Dear Parents, 

THANK YOU for making my birthday extra special!  I am so blessed to have such an amazing class that is so thoughtful this year.  I can’t express enough how wonderful everyone has been this year.  Thank you so very much! As we head into the end of the school year we have several events happening. Please make sure to check the calendar to be prepared.  There will also be several opportunities to volunteer so please let me know if you are interested.

Field Trip - San Diego Air and Space Museum:

Last week a permission slip was sent home for our last field trip.  On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the second grade classes will be taking a field trip to The San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park. We will be exploring the museum. There is also an opportunity to explore beautiful Balboa Park and have an outdoor picnic for lunch.  We will be traveling by bus.  Students will need to wear their red polo with the logo and uniform bottoms.  Students are to bring a disposable sack lunch, including a drink or water. No lunch boxes please. The field trip cost is $8 per student. The chaperone cost is $12.  I will be notifying you if you are selected to chaperone this week.  Siblings may not be brought to the field trip.

 

Coin Clash: The annual PLEF Coin Clash begins soon. Your student will receive a cup to fill with coins and dollars. There will be prizes for the top 3 classes. Students will need to bring back their cup full of coins in order to participate in Career Dress Up Day.

 

 

PLEF Career Dress Up Day: Friday May 24th is our next PLEF dress up day. Students who participate in coin clash and return their filled cup will be able to participate in this career themed dress up day.  

 

RED-Y for the Test: This week the third graders will be State Testing. On Tuesday, May 14 all students should wear their Red Polo shirt to show that we support our third graders.
